A multi-tasker, Matterflow, aka Sébastien Deguy, is a musician, film-maker, writer, scientist and entrepreneur.
Willing to mix Art and Technology, he created the award-winning Substance software tool suite, which is now a key player in the digital content creation world. Sébastien is now Adobe’s Vice President, in charge of the new 3D & Immersive initiative and division.
As a music lover, his tastes span from the underground to classical via jazz. His influences come from artists such as Amon Tobin, SebastiAn, Aphex Twin, Son Lux, Erik Satie, Prefuse 73, Björk, Erik Truffaz, the Beastie Boys, Philip Glass, Rjd2, MF Doom, and many more.
In 2016, Matterflow comes back to music writing with a new LP called “Run”. This LP, released on by Material Boys, includes various remixes of songs from Julia Kent (Antony & The Johnsons), Lena & The Floating Roots Orchestra or Petit Fantôme.
Between 2017 and 2018, Matterflow accumulated releases with world-class featurings: “Stockholm Syndrome” feat. Qwel (Galapagos 4), “Joan” feat. Black Sifichi, “Tapis de Montmartre” feat. Tido Caïman Berman (TTC), “Amotae 001” feat. Mike Ladd, Caroline Duris, Julian Kent, “Lost and Found” feat. Rosko John and “Surface” feat. Julia Kent & Caroline Duris. At end of 2018, Matterflow remixed “Turn To Dust” from French pop grand Cascadeur.
In 2019, Matterflow released “Hope” on the “7” compilation from Boxon Records, as well as “Fade Out” in collaboration, one more time with Rosko John (Archive).
